  • 1 February - The wiki be.wikimedia.org is created   (Phabricator)
  • 17 February - An online translation rush on the Wikimedia-BE IRC channel and the Etherpad with the goal to translate the statutes into English, French and German   (etherpad)
    • At the Statute Sprint it was decided to finish the statutes and apply for a grant to cover legal, administrative and translation costs. The discussion will be done over the mailing list.
    • M0tty was invited to make a presentation ([1] & [2]) of WLM on April 4th, 2012 in Brussels.

  • 28 September - Upload marathon in Ghent. We explored the historical inner city of Ghent, en took additional pictures. We met and exchanged experiences. The meeting resulted in a serious spike in uploads. Founding meeting at Waterhuis aan de Bierkant (Gent)
