In February 2018 we organised the new year's event of 2018.
Purpose
[edit]With the organisation of the new year's event, we combine the traditional award ceremony for the past photo contest (Wiki Loves Public Space 2017) together with presentation(s) about upcoming projects and a new year's drink. In this way we keep connected with our network and have a nice event for our volunteers.
History and background
[edit]The 2018 edition of the new year's event is the first we organised as Wikimedia Belgium. We were inspired by the new year's events of Wikimedia Nederland in what they combine the visit to a museum/archive/etc, together with some presentations, award ceremony, and concluded with a drink
