General Meeting[edit]The 2020 annual accounts were approved. A new board member was elected: Sam Donvil (meemoo). Read the full report here, as well as the presentation. Wiki Loves Heritage[edit]Wiki Loves Heritage is an annual national photo competition from Wikimedia Belgium that is a spin-off and extension of the global Wiki Loves Monuments to include photos of movable and intangible heritage, landscapes, folklore, crafts, and museum collections. The competition runs from 1 July 2021 to 31 October 2021. Wiki Loves Pajottenland Zennevallei[edit]In 2021 it will be 10 years since the Pajottenland & Zennevallei Heritage Unit was set up with the aim of safeguarding the region's memory for the future. A good reason to celebrate and to add the memory of Pajottenland & Zennevallei to Wikipedia. From 1 July to 30 September 2021 we invite you to foto’s van erfgoed in the Pajottenland-Zennevalley (buildings, historical landscapes, traditions, processions, popular sports, crafts, regional cuisine ...) and culture to be uploaded via Wikimedia Commons. Writing contest Dutch Wikipedia[edit]Wikimedia Netherlands is again organizing the annual writing competition. Participants choose a topic to write about between 1 September and 31 October. Registration before end of August. Industriemuseum in Ghent[edit]The Ghent Industrial Museum holds a temporary exhibition Cathedrals of Industry, about the history of the textile industry in Ghent. On 2 September at 18:00 there will be a Wikipedia writing session in the Industry Museum on the textile past of Ghent. Wiki Women Design[edit]On 24 September, there will be a final session in Brussels on the subject of Writing about Women in Design and Cultural Heritage. Fiscal gift through the King Baudouin Foundation[edit]The Friends of Wikimedia Belgium Fund is recognised by the King Baudouin Foundation. Your donations will be used to finance Wikimedia Belgium's Fund-approved projects.
