(Redirected from Free knowledge)
A free license can be used for projects that are compatible with Creative Commons licenses.
Free licenses have been created to stimulate, and allow, sharing of free knowledge. The rules of free licenses are not in conflict, but are complementary with classic copyright.
For Wikipedia, and its related projects only CC BY-SA, CC BY, and CC0/PD are accepted.
Handy to know
- Content of external web sites that use CC BY-SA can be reused on Wikipedia, and its related projects
- Wikidata is using CC0, and can be shared amongst other RDF databases
