End of year drink 2018

This page documents the end of year drink 2018 we organised on 18 December 2018.

Purpose

During this end of the year event we celebrate what we have achieved together with PACKED vzw in the past year(s) and hand out the Belgian prizes for the photo contest Wiki Loves Heritage.

History and background

From 15 June to 15 November 2018 we organised the photo contest Wiki Loves Heritage. Also on 1 January 2018 will our partner organisation PACKED vzw merge with two other organisations.

Program

• 18:30 - Welcome with a drink and snack
• 19:00 - From 1 January 2019, the organisations of LUKAS and PACKED vzw will be added to VIAA. Minister Gatz decided this with a view to economies of scale and efficiency gains. With a few brief presentations from colleagues, we close the current chapter and prepare for the transition:
  • Frank Lubbers (president PACKED vzw);
  • Marc Jacobs (director FARO);
  • Henk Vanstappen (DATABLE bvba and former PACKED staff member);
  • Nico Verplancke (director VIAA).
• 20:00 - Award ceremony winners Wiki Loves Heritage
• 20:15 - We toast on a new year and a new future.

Registration is required to be present.
