Affiliate
Wikimedia affiliates are the chapters, and regional or thematic user groups of the Wikimedia Foundation.
They are formally supporting the user community on a national, regional, or thematic level, and have a direct link with the Foundation (funding, representation, projects, reporting) via the Affiliations Committee.
Affiliates can associate with each other on regional, thematic, or linguistic level (hubs) to become a more efficient use of resources (people, budget, documentation, training, support).
Responsibilities
[edit]- Affiliates sign an agreement with the Foundation in order to have the right to use e.g. the Wikimedia logos
- Prepare an (s)APG grant
- (half) Yearly reporting
- Perform activities
