Friends of Wikimedia Belgium project grants
Wikimedia Belgium (WMBE) offers limited project grants for cultural, educational, or philanthropic projects, within the goals of the WMBE organisation. Typically the projects have a duration of 6 months.
Project funding request[edit]
Every year the Friends of Wikimedia Belgium Fund can fund two projects worth 5000 € each. If you would like to propose your own project, then you need to formally propose your project via Wikimedian in residence project. The evaluation committee will then evaluate and eventually approve your project (or refuse it via a motivated evaluation report). You can adapt your project and request a subsequent evaluation round.
Advertising[edit]
Advertising projects and funds of the Fondation Roi Baudouin requires strict procedures. You can always advertise our generic fund raising Fonds des Amis de Wikimedia Belgium via without mentioning a specific project. Only when your project has been approved and registered (with a mutual contract) by the Fondation Roi Baudouin, you can mention that your project has been funded by the Friends of Wikimedia Belgium Fund.
Reporting[edit]
After the project finishes you must file a final report. This report, including media files, will be used by the Fondation Roi Baudouin to publish their yearly report.
Responsibilities[edit]
The institution receiving the grant is responsible to implement the project, for the (employee) administration, and for insuring collaborators involved in the project.
Fiscal certificates[edit]
Under certain conditions sponsors receive a yearly fiscal certificate from the Fondation Roi Baudouin.
