Every year during one month the Wikimedia Foundation runs a national campaign to Donate for Wikipedia. Not logged-in users get a pop-up while reading Wikipedia, using a specific message per country and language, which is different for a desktop or a smartphone.
The disadvantage for the general public is that fiscal certificates are not possible, or complicated to obtain.
