Activities/2021

On this page we collect activities in 2021 related to Wikimedia that took place in Belgium or by volunteers from Wikimedia Belgium. We collect all our general assemblies, board meetings, meetings with other organisations and people, project meetings, presentations, workshops, edit-a-thons, conferences, press releases, publications, invitations and newsletters, (photo) contests, and many other activities and milestones.

January 2021

Wikipedia Anniversary:

The RTBF television was broadcasting from the Mundaneum museum in Mons on 13 January
On 14 January there was a national radio broadcast about Wikipedia with Lieven Scheire (Mushlack)
The evening news of the national television brought a report on 15 January, highlighting the Pajottenland Zennevallei heritage project
Karrewiet Ketnet (children’s program) reported on Wikipedia
Page-large publications in national newspaper and magazines: Het Nieuwsblad, Het Parochieblad, Plus Magazine

16 January - (online) New year WMNL
On 19 January we sent a letter to the responsible Belgian ministers about the new European copyright laws
