Template:Coord

The following template description is not displayed when the template is inserted in a page.

Purpose

To tag a location with coordinates.

Usage

Add on the dots the degrees, minutes and seconds of the latitude with on the 4th dots the latitude symbol (N or S), and the degrees, minutes and seconds of the longitude with on the 8th dots the longitude symbol (E or W):

9th parameter

On the 9th position the type, scale and region parameters can be added:

Example

The location of the founding event of Wikimedia Belgium:

{{Coord|50|50|47.76|N|4|21|54.3|E|type:landmark_scale:10000}}

gives: 50° 50′ 48″ N, 4° 21′ 54″ E
