Musée Royal de Mariemont

The Musée royal de Mariemont is een Scientific institution of the French Community of Belgium and museum in Morlanwelz. The museum is surrounded by the Domain of Mariemont and has a collection of statues and objects from ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, and from the far east.

Purpose

The goal of the project is to help the museum to share their knowledge on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia platforms, in text, images and data. Part of the collaboration is the organised Wikipedia workshop in the museum.

History and background

For the photo contest Wiki Loves Art in 2016 we came in contact with the Musée royal de Mariemont and they opened up their doors for participating photographers in the photo contest.
