Prague is a nice and cultural city. It has a lot of museums and institutions. The national technical library is open 24/7 (in 2019 we held the hackathon there).

Bus and metro

[edit]

Prague has a good system of city transport. You have 3 main metro lines across the city: A - B - C. The trams and busses stop at 23:00.

You better take a 3-day ticket for all metros, trams, and busses. You can take the ticket via self-service in front of the terminal exit. You can pay with your bank card. You must activate the ticket once after purchase. In less than 1 hour you can travel very cheap with public transport from the airport to the city center, or vice versa:

  • Start from airport Terminal 2 (Schengen)
  • Take the bus 59 - from airport to metro station Nádraží Veleslavín
  • Then go underground with metro A (from north to south) from metro station Nádraží Veleslavín to the city center
