EID Viewer
The eID Viewer can be used to print a PDF form of the eID.
Usage
[edit]- Administrations that want to know the legal address of individuals
Installation
[edit]Windows
[edit]Download and install the Windows package.
Chromebook
[edit]Download and install the Debian base package from the official Belgian eID website. Then continue on the console:
sudo -s
apt search eid |grep eid-viewer
apt install eid-viewer
apt search eid |grep eid| grep -v geïnstalleerd
Application
[edit]Start the eID Viewer App
Security
[edit]- Inserting the eID card in an e-reader allows third parties to print your identity data
- Those data are subject to the privacy rules of GDPR
Known problems
[edit]- Login on Chromebook seems not to work (but this is not necessary to print the eID document)
